He is the Inaugural Director of the <em>Origins Project<\/em> at ASU &#8211; a national center for research and outreach on origins issues, from the origins of the universe, to human origins, to the origins of consciousness and culture. He is also the author of several popular science books.<\/p>\n<p>Amongst many other things (early universe, dark matter, dark energy, cosmic microwave background) in this entertaining lecture he discusses the hypothesis that it is logically consistent that the universe came from nothing.
