Talk of &#8220;billions and billions&#8221; can easily lead to a loss of perspective when attempting to comprehend vast amounts of time .<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, our favourite cosmologist <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heikegani.com\/index.php\/tag\/carl-sagan\/\">Dr. Carl Sagan<\/a><\/strong> popularized &#8216;<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heikegani.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Cosmic_Calendar.png\">The Cosmic Calendar<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; on his television series <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heikegani.com\/index.php\/essential-viewing-carl-sagans-cosmos\/\">Cosmos<\/a><\/strong>.
